The FREEJUMP cartridge is available in three different capacities to perfectly match the size of your FREEJUMP AIRBAG: 50 cc for child sizes S and L, 60 cc for sizes XXS, XS, XST, S, ST, M, MT and L, and 85 cc for sizes LT, XL and XXL. It is important to choose the correct capacity for optimal airbag function. FREEJUMP airbag vests (as well as models manufactured by FREEJUMP for the Pénélope and Equithème brands) are certified according to the NF S 72 800 2022 standard, therefore only FREEJUMP cartridges are permitted for use with them.

We require the use of FREEJUMP cartridges for our airbags for proper function and safety.

The properties of the cartridges are crucial to ensure effective inflation. The quality of the seal is particularly important: if it is too thick, it will be harder to pierce, so the opening for the CO₂ to escape will be too small, which slows down the gas release and thus the inflation of the airbag. The inflation time of FREEJUMP airbag vests (ranging from 80-130 ms depending on size) is one of the fastest on the market, thanks to several factors, including the excellent quality of the cartridge seal.

FREEJUMP cartridges are manufactured in Austria or Japan. They are never produced in China or other Asian countries, as tests have shown that the quality of cartridges manufactured there is not sufficient to ensure optimal operation.

The proper functioning of airbags manufactured by FREEJUMP and the safety of the user can only be guaranteed with the use of certified FREEJUMP cartridges.

In general, the functioning of CO₂ cartridges is not guaranteed at temperatures below 0 °C.
